Nazi tunes: Shame-faced Apple bosses forced to remove marching anthem from sale on Holocaust Memorial Day

Apple has been left red-faced in Germany after it emerged it was allowing music lovers to download a famous Third Reich anthem.

The German press revealed the online giant was breaking the law by allowing iTunes customers to download the Horst Wessel Song.

Strong fringe = Hitler

Revealed for the first time, the defiant French stained glass window portraying Hitler as King Herod

Adolf Hitler was portrayed as a blood-thirsty King Herod killing a Jew in a church stained glass window created in France at the height of the Nazi Occupation, it emerged today.

The extraordinary ecclesiastical work of art remained unnoticed for a full 70 years at the St Jacques Church in Montgeron, south of Paris.

Rare photos taken by a German soldier of the devastated beaches of Dunkirk after the evacuation have been found 70 years on by the family of a British war veteran.

The pictures were taken a few hours after 330,000 Allied soldiers were rescued from the beaches by an armada of little ships having been defeated by the Nazis.

At the time I was accompanied by a photographer from the Discovery Channel and we were carrying out research for a documentary.

A Conservative council leader from Harrogate had been suspended by the party after being photographed dressed as Adolf Hitler and giving a Nazi salute.

Councillor Mike Gardener had earlier been deselected after images of him at a fancy dress party were leaked onto the internet via the social-networking website Facebook.
